Yes, as long as your phone has a USB-C port, which covers most models today. Older iPhones with a Lightning port aren't supported.

Does it use Bluetooth?

Wave Go sends audio through a dedicated 2.4 GHz connection to its USB-C receiver, for better sound, lower latency, and longer battery life than you'd get over Bluetooth. Bluetooth is used only to connect the companion app for settings and updates.

Yes. The receiver has a charge-through port, so you can connect a USB-C power source to help power your phone while recording. It delivers up to 5W, enough to charge your phone or slow battery drain, depending on how hard it’s working.

How do I wear the transmitter?

The transmitter attaches magnetically with one of two included mounts: a clip for shirts and collars, or a magnetic plate for thicker clothing like jackets. Its magnetic design also lets it attach to metal surfaces for creative placement.

Auto Gain works well for most mobile recording. But in noisier environments — air conditioning, traffic, a busy venue — it can make everything louder, not just your voice. If you notice this, try switching Auto Gain off in the Wave Go app and setting your gain manually. Start toward the lower end of the range and adjust from there.

How do I use noise cancellation?

Pressing the button on your receiver toggles noise cancellation on and off. For more control, you can choose from three intensity levels in the Wave Go app. Low reduces background noise while keeping the room sounding natural, and works well in everyday situations. Medium offers more reduction in louder spaces. High is very effective but can make your voice sound more processed, so save it for very loud environments.

Can I use Wave Go at my desk?

Yes. Plug the USB-C receiver into your computer and Wave Go becomes a lightweight desk mic for calls, podcasting, and more. We recommend also running Wave Link, Elgato's free mixing software, with Voice Focus on. This gives you natural, clear sound indoors by cutting room echo and background noise.
