With Wave Go, you can record two people on one wireless microphone system. Add Wave Go TX (sold separately) and it pairs with the USB-C receiver you already have, so an interview guest or a co-host in your vlog gets a mic of their own.
Pairing takes a few steps, and there’s nothing extra to plug in.
If the new transmitter keeps blinking blue slowly, it’s still searching. Bring it closer to the receiver and run through the steps again.
Once it’s connected, open the Wave Go app and you’ll see both mics listed, each with its own battery level and mute control. Bluetooth needs to be on for the app to connect.
Wave Go combines both transmitters into a single track, so your phone or computer receives both voices together, much like two people sharing one mic. That keeps the recording side simple, since any app that works with Wave Go works with two mics as well.
It also means some settings are shared. Gain (how much the mic boosts your voice before it’s recorded) and noise suppression apply to both mics at once, so turning one person up turns the other person up too. Mute is the exception. Each mic has its own, which helps when one person needs to cough or step away mid-conversation.
Because both voices arrive on one signal, balance them with mic placement. Clip both mic transmitters at a similar distance from each person’s mouth. If one voice runs louder, move that mic slightly farther away instead of reaching for gain. Record a short test with both people talking and play it back before you start.
For interviews, you can mix clip-on and handheld. The interviewer docks their transmitter in the Smart Handle, and the guest wears the other as a clip-on. Wave Go includes one Smart Handle, so with a single set the second mic stays clipped on. If you own a second Wave Go set, its Smart Handle lets both people record handheld.
Plug the receiver into your computer, and Wave Go shows up in Wave Link as a single device with both voices on the same channel. You can mute it, watch its level, and add effects there, while gain and battery levels stay in the Wave Go app. Muting in Wave Link silences both mics, so switch to the Wave Go app when only one person needs to go quiet.
Both mic transmitters fit in the carrying case. The case has one charging dock, so the second transmitter goes in the Smart Handle, and both charge at the same time when the case is plugged in over USB-C. Each mic transmitter runs up to 8 hours per charge, and up to 48 hours total in the Smart Handle.
The Wave Go app updates one transmitter at a time. When it finds an outdated second mic, it asks you to turn off your other transmitter and walks you through the rest.
