Voicemod voice changers are now available in Wave Link on Windows, and for the first time, they run natively inside the software as VST effects. That means you can change your voice in Discord, games, and any other app without running a separate application or routing audio through multiple programs. Just install, apply, and play. This is part of our partnership between Elgato and Voicemod, which also brings Voicemod soundboards to Stream Deck. Both are available now on Elgato Marketplace.
A cleaner way to change your voice
Previously, using Voicemod alongside Wave Link meant running two applications in parallel. Your microphone audio passed through the Voicemod app, then into Wave Link, then out to Discord or wherever you needed it. It worked, but it added complexity.
Now, Voicemod voice changers run directly inside Wave Link as an audio effect on Windows. There's no separate app to manage, no extra routing to configure. You pick a voice changer from Marketplace, install it, and apply it to your mic channel. Whatever app you use, Discord, in-game, OBS Studio, sees your transformed voice coming from your microphone, just as it would any other effect. Voice changers can also be applied to incoming audio channels, not just your mic. If you want to hear a teammate's voice transformed in real time, that's possible too.
What Wave Next devices unlock
For users with Wave:3 MK.2, Wave XLR MK.2, XLR Dock MK.2, or Wave XLR Pro, VST Insert takes this a step further.
VST Insert routes audio from Wave Link back into the hardware signal path before it reaches your applications. That means your voice changer, along with any other VST effects, is baked into the microphone signal itself. Every app on your system receives the processed voice directly from the device without a virtual microphone.
You also get ultra-low latency monitoring through your headphones, so you can hear your transformed voice in real time as you play or talk.
Voicemod soundboards on Stream Deck
Alongside voice changers, Voicemod soundboards are now available on Elgato Marketplace for Stream Deck. Each soundboard installs as a ready-to-use profile packed with memes and audio clips. Themes range from fantasy to FPS gaming, with more coming over time.
When combined with Wave Link, you control exactly where your soundboard audio goes. Route it to voice chat, stream, to your headphones, or any combination, with independent volume control for each destination. And because Wave Link is free and works with any microphone or interface, anyone can set this up.
