You can record clean 4K footage at 60 FPS or play at higher frame rates like 1440p120 and 1080p240. VRR passthrough helps reduce screen tearing on supported displays, and HDR10 passthrough works up to 4K60. HDR capture is available on Windows up to 1080p60.
4K S can capture at a lower resolution than what’s coming from your console. For example, if your PS5 is outputting 4K but your capture software is set to 1080p, 4K S will automatically downscale the recording. You don’t need to change any settings on the console.
Passthrough stays the same, so your TV or monitor still receives the full 4K signal.
