GTA VI launches November 19, 2026 on PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X, and Series S. To play, you need one of those consoles and a display that matches how you play. In a recent preview at Rockstar North in Edinburgh, lead developer and co-director Rob Nelson told creators that GTA VI is currently running at 30fps on console. He did not rule out a 60fps option arriving at launch or in a later update, but said the technical team would need to confirm. Nelson also said he did not have resolution details to share.
If you already own a current-gen console, you are ready. If you are buying one specifically for GTA VI, a standard PS5 or Xbox Series X covers it.
How GTA VI looks depends a lot on what you are playing it on.

Your capture card handles the video signal. You still need software to actually record or stream it.
