GTA RP moves fast. A scene calls for an emote or a quick /me line, and scrolling through a menu or losing track of which one you meant breaks the moment. With Stream Deck, you can put those commands on keys you tap without ever looking away from the scene.
Before binding your first emote, make sure you have the basics in place.
The tool that makes this possible is FXCommands, a free plugin on Elgato Marketplace that sends commands straight to the FiveM console. Unlike a simple hotkey, it talks to the game directly, so you never need to open the console yourself.
Note: Not all servers use the same emote commands. Check yours in the console (tap F8) before building it into a key.
A single key doesn't have to fire just one command. A semicolon chains multiple commands together with no delay:
For commands that need space between them, add a delay instead. A double semicolon inserts a default 500ms pause, and {NNNms} sets a custom one:
This plays the think emote, shows the /me line, waits two seconds, then cancels the emote automatically, so you're not left holding a pose while you type your next move.
Some actions work better as a toggle: sit down, then stand up with the same key. Under Advanced Options, set Number of States to 2, and give each stage its own command.
| Stage | Command |
| 0 | e sit |
| 1 | e c |
Tap once to sit, tap again to cancel. The stage advances when you release the key, and the icon updates to show which one is active. Use the same pattern for anything with an on and off feel, like a radio toggle (e radio and e c).
On Stream Deck + and GALLEON 100 SD, dials add a fourth way to trigger commands. Drop the action onto the dial row instead of a key, and four fields appear: push, rotate left, rotate right, and touch.
Rotation commands accept a placeholder for how far the dial turned. {ticks} sends the raw amount and lets your server apply it:
Note: Use {ticks} for rotation. It's more reliable than {rotationPercent} or {rotationAbsolute}.
Bind one or two emotes you use constantly, then add toggles and dial controls once they feel natural.
