How to restore Stream Deck's default profile

Stream Deck comes with a default profile to help you get started. But as you customize your setup, you may change, delete, or overwrite parts of that original layout.

If you want to restore it, you can do so from the Stream Deck app.

1. Open Stream Deck app.
2. Click the Settings icon.

3. Go to Profiles tab.
4. Click the + button.
5. Select Add Default Profile.

Stream Deck will add a fresh copy of the original default profile to your profile list.

Even if your default profile has been edited, overwritten, or changed over time, Add Default Profile restores the original version that came with your Stream Deck device.

This gives you a clean starting point without needing to manually rebuild the layout.

All Stream Deck models have default profiles. These custom-designed profiles have different layouts and options to fit the options of those different models.

For example, GALLEON 100 SD and Stream Deck + XL use different default profiles compared to other Stream Decks. When you add the default profile, Stream Deck will restore the default layout for the device you are using.

After restoring your default profile, you can keep customizing it with new actions, plugins, icon packs, and more from Elgato Marketplace.
