Due to the lockdown so many of us started working from home, I realised I needed to upgrade my home setup. That's when I turned to Elgato. Without their microphone, EpocCam and Stream Deck, working from home would have been much more difficult. Now my lessons are more engaging and it's been a lot of fun.

I cannot live without my Stream Deck. I use it daily, and it's made my life so much easier! I was drawn to it from the moment I first saw it. There are countless options to what I can set each button to do. I'm using it for everything from efficient shortcuts all the way to making silly noises as a soundboard. It is such a dynamic product and can be altered to fit the needs of anyone!

Illuminate on Command

I like using the Ring Light because it increases the clarity and professionalism of my videos. It is also very user friendly, and being able to adjust the color temperature and brightness depending on what is needed is very helpful!

Premium Microphone and Digital Mixing Solution

The Wave:3 microphone has exceptional sound quality. It also has very useful features such as controlling the volume from a knob, or muting myself with the tap of a button. I enjoy being able to use one mic for all my needs.

Do you have any advice for teachers and/or people working from home?

My advice to teachers and others working from home would be to invest in products that you find add value to your work experience. With this being our new normal, go ahead and treat yourself to some new tech!

What Elgato product changed the most about the way you work/teach?

The EpocCam app changed the most about the way I work. Having a camera that I can easily adjust for various needs has been a game changer. I use it to present worksheets during video calls, to share posters while filming virtual lessons, and to walk around the room and share student work. It's great!
