Size and placement

Key Light Neo is easier to place in small setups. It mounts to a monitor or laptop screen, takes up no desk surface space, and fits in a laptop bag.

Key Light Air MK.2 is larger and built around a desk mount. Its clamp attaches to the edge of your desk, while the adjustable stand lets you position the light above, beside, or slightly away from your camera.

Choose Key Light Neo if you want a simple light that stays close to your webcam. Choose Key Light Air MK.2 if you want more control over where your light sits.

Brightness and coverage

Key Light Neo reaches up to 1000 lumens, useful for close-range lighting, especially when the light sits on your monitor or laptop near your face.

Key Light Air MK.2 reaches up to 2100 lumens, giving you more output for darker rooms, larger desks, and setups where the light sits farther away.

Power and setup

Both lights are USB-powered and can run from a PD charger for higher brightness output, but they are designed for different setup sizes.

Key Light Neo is built for compact desk setups. Connect it to a USB port, PD-compatible charger, or supported power source, then adjust brightness and color temperature from the light itself.

Key Light Air MK.2 also uses USB-C, but is designed for a larger lighting area and higher overall output. It can run from your computer, a PD-compatible adapter, or a PD-compatible battery bank.

Controls and workflow

Key Light Neo and Key Light Air MK.2 offer similar control options. Both have onboard controls for brightness, color temperature, two saved presets, and can be controlled through Control Center and Stream Deck.

The bigger difference is the physical setup. Key Light Neo is a compact light for smaller desks, laptop setups, or monitor-mounted use. Key Light Air MK.2 is brighter and includes Master Mount L, making it better suited for a fixed desk setup where you want more reach, height, and light output.

Key Light Air MK.2 also supports Focus Grid, an optional magnetic accessory that narrows the light’s spread for more precise control.

Which one should you choose?

Choose Key Light Neo if you mostly take video calls, use a laptop, or want a compact light that mounts directly to your screen. It is the better fit for close-range webcam lighting and quick setups.

Choose Key Light Air MK.2 if you want a brighter light for a dedicated desk setup. It is the better fit if you stream, record, film regularly, or want more brightness, more coverage, a clamp-on stand, USB-C power flexibility, MagSafe support, or optional Focus Grid support.
