The Key Lights have drastically changed my setup for the better. They attach to the side of my desk, which is just brilliant for saving space. They are incredibly smart LED panels that can be fully adjusted for brighter/dimmer and warmer/cooler lights to suit the conditions at the time of recording. They also light up my Green Screen perfectly. Finally, the light panels themselves are much smaller than any other box light I’ve used, which of course makes my studio feel bigger, which is awesome!
Wave Panels are the latest upgrade to my setup. They create studio-level acoustics in my office, which helps me to get the best possible audio for my content. The design of the panels is also amazing. Not only do they serve a useful purpose, but they look great whilst doing so! I also love that I can change up the pattern of the panels easily, as they snap onto each other, allowing me to have different designs for different situations.
I’ve always used a green screen to immerse myself in my videos. The Elgato Green Screen is perfectly sized for my setup and is a brilliant space saver. It has a very clever design which can be put up and taken down in a matter of seconds with one easy motion. After recording my video, I can stow the Green Screen in the corner of my studio until I need it. And the best thing is it takes up hardly any space at all!
Wave:3 completely levelled up my audio game. It looks incredible, and feels premium. It has a ‘tap-to-mute’ button which is very useful. I use the mic by attaching it to the Elgato Shock Mount, which is attached to an extendable boom arm. This means I can get the mic up close for the best audio quality when I’m filming Youtube videos, and then in a more relaxed position if I’m chatting to friends. Partner all of this quality and design with the amazing Wave Link mixer software, and you’re onto a winner!
What is your favourite thing about being a content creator?
My favourite aspect of being a content creator would have to be the interaction with my viewers. I absolutely love replying to comments every day, and tailoring my content to suit viewer requests. This way, ‘my’ Youtube series becomes ‘our’ YouTube series. It’s a great feeling to provide a daily ‘escape’ for people to sit back, relax and enjoy some content, whilst feeling involved and a part of something. I love it!
What was your first Elgato product?
My first Elgato product was the Game Capture HD. I still have it on display in my setup, alongside all of the other Elgato capture devices I've used on my content creation journey. It's great to see the timeline of progression over the years!
