How to use Key Logic with Stream Deck

Key Logic is a new action in Stream Deck 7.0 or newer that lets you assign up to three different actions to a single key. Each action triggers depending on how the key is pressed:

  • Press: Activate the first action
  • Double press: Activate the second action
  • Press and hold: Activate the third action

For example, you can single-press to play/pause music, double-press to skip tracks, or press and hold to return to the previous track.

Requirements

Before you can use Key Logic, you'll need the following:

  • Stream Deck software: Version 7.0 or newer
  • Compatible devices: All Stream Deck models (including Stream Deck +, Neo, and Virtual Stream Deck)

How to add Key Logic

There are two ways to add Key Logic to your Stream Deck:

1. Right-click any key and select Create Key Logic Action.

2. Under the Multi Action category, drag Key Logic to the canvas.

Adding actions to Key Logic

1. Drag the actions you want into each slot. For example:

  • Control Center: Adjust Brightness
  • Camera Hub: Adjust Property
  • Wave Link: Mute Input

2. Each slot corresponds to a press type:

  • Single press: First action
  • Double press: Second action
  • Press and hold: Third action

3. Once the actions are added, Key Logic is ready to use. Just press, double press, or press and hold to trigger your chosen actions.
