Elgato to Release new Version of EyeTV software at Apple Expo 2003 in Paris

Free software update to include support for European Program Guide TVTV and support of Toast 6 Titanium

Paris, France - September 15, 2003 - Elgato, the developer of EyeTV, will exhibit at Europe’s largest Apple trade show, Apple Expo 2003, in Paris for the first time. EyeTV has become the worldwide leader in digital video recording for Macintosh since its introduction at MacWorld 2002 in New York.

With the start of the trade show this Tuesday, September 16th, the new software release for EyeTV can be downloaded from Elgato’s website www.elgato.com. Among other things the free update provides seamless integration with Roxio’s Toast 6 Titanium, making it extremely easy to convert EyeTV recorded videos into DVDs. The software update also adds support for the new program guide TVTV by FAST TV Server AG, that will make finding and automatically recording programs significantly more comfortable.

‘Digital video recording has been experiencing tremendous growth lately as consumers have begun to realize the benefits associated with bringing television to their Macs.’ said Freddie Geier, Elgato’s CEO. ‘Ways to effectively network computers and home entertainment systems to enable the exchange of photo, video, and audio data will become one of the big topics for 2004.’

With EyeTV digital video recorder you will experience TV in a completely new way. You will become virtually independent of the start times of your TV programs. EyeTV automatically records your favorite programs so you can watch them when it is convenient for you. Also, EyeTV lets you watch live TV, pause programs, skip commercials, and permanently record your favorite shows using your CD or DVD burner.

In addition, you can use EyeTV to easily convert camcorder, VHS, or any other analog video into VideoCDs or DVDs that are playable in home DVD players.

Apple Expo 2003

Elgato will present EyeTV the digital video recorder and demonstrate the latest software update in booth B19 at the Apple Expo 2003 in Paris, from September 16 through 20. Because of the 20th anniversary of this event, consumers can expect very attractive EyeTV show offers.
