Retail Marketing and Event Manager

General Purpose:

Elgato’s corporate marketing team is seeking a Retail Marketing & Event Manager to develop and execute extraordinary retail concepts, solutions and experiences. This role will also be responsible for organizing events, trade shows and creating marketing assets.

Position Summary, Responsibilities and Expectations:

Retail Marketing

  • Define, plan and execute global retail concepts and ideas in alignment with brand guidelines & communication strategy
  • Maintain existing and continually develop new POS concepts and assets
  • Coordinate retail marketing and sales material needs and delegate tasks to agencies
  • Audit brick and mortar stores, observe competition and identify best in class
  • Analyze retail development, initiate market research projects and interpret results

Events

  • Lead Elgato’s event presence by creating cohesive event plans including concept, booth design, activities, asset needs and staffing schedules
  • Manage and ensure on-time delivery of collateral and samples for each show
  • Proactively reach out to partners to provide trade show support, including marketing assets and event equipment
  • Conduct wrap-up meetings and prepare performance reports
  • Ad hoc projects as assigned
  • Reports to head of Elgato Corporate Marketing, also works close in cooperation with the Corsair retail marketing, sales and events teams
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Minimum of three years' experience in the area of retail / event / trade-marketing (preferably in Gaming or consumer electronic industry)
  • Academic degree in relevant subject matter (marketing, business administration)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with high attention to detail
  • Clear understanding and enthusiasm for the retail industry and sales
  • Experience collaborating with sales and marketing teams
  • Comfortable with ambiguity
  • Process oriented with strong project management skills
  • Curious self-starter with the ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Fluent in spoken and written English, additional German proficiency is a plus
  • Up to 25% travel, position located in Munich, Germany
