In response to gamers hacking EyeTV software to capture their gameplay, Elgato launched Game Capture HD. Supplied with an HDMI cable, a PlayStation 3 cable and a component adapter, this combination of hardware and software quickly became the gold standard for highest quality content creation.

Following the releases of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Game Capture HD60 was launched to unlock 1080p60 capture for the masses.

Fueled by the success of HD60, we set out to build the most powerful capture card on the planet – HD60 Pro. A PCIe card with Instant Gameview technology, HD60 Pro was the first-ever capture card capable of recording Full HD content in real time.

Combining the plug and play convenience of HD60 with the ultra-low latency of HD60 Pro, HD60 S became the first external capture card to feature Instant Gameview technology. The device garnered instant acclaim and remained the world's most popular capture card right up until its discontinuation in 2022.

Elgato’s portfolio of products began to grow. With mind-blowing success, we launched Stream Deck, a groundbreaking control solution.

Elgato and Corsair joined forces to take content creation to the next level.

‘Elgato Gaming’ was rebranded to ‘Elgato’.

Stream Deck Mini was introduced. With six keys and unlimited actions, there's lots to love about the world's smallest Stream Deck.

We expanded our range with Stream Deck XL, Stream Deck Mobile and Stream Deck SDK, enabling third party developers to build plugins for Stream Deck for the first time.

As well as being listed on the NASDAQ stock exchange, we made our first appearance on the NASDAQ Tower.

The world finally met a webcam of Elgato calibre at our launch event. It was the missing link that made Elgato the one-stop-shop for creators.

Wave XLR gave your XLR mic superpowers. The audio family grew even bigger with Wave Mic Arm and Wave Mic Arm LP, making premium microphone boom arms accessible to all creators.

We also gave Stream Deck a facelift, introduced changeable faceplates, and launched the Stream Deck Store – the official home for plugins, music, sound effects, icon packs, and more.

Chat Link Pro, Cam Link Pro, Light Strip, Wave Panels, Wall Mount, and Green Screen Mouse Mat completed our 2021 lineup.
