EyeTV Netstream DTT streams digital television (DVB-T/Freeview) to any computer and iPad in the house. If you have a Wi-Fi network you can watch TV wirelessly, free from cables and in full HD where broadcast.

A dual tuner, EyeTV Netstream DTT is compatible with both Mac and PC and works seamlessly on multiple computers. Capacity can easily be expanded by connecting additional EyeTV Netstream DTTs to the network.

EyeTV 3 for Mac
The included EyeTV 3 software from Elgato will turn your Mac into the coolest TV and DVR in the house. This award-winning software enables you to:

Windows PC Compatibility
You can use EyeTV Netstream DTT with a Mac or PC. EyeTV Netstream DTT is compatible with Windows 7 or later and works great with Windows Media Center. It also comes with THC software for Windows, which offers many of the same features as EyeTV 3.

Stream live television to your iPad! EyeTV Netstream tuners can send a standard definition TV signal straight to the EyeTV Netstream app running on an iPad, iPhone or iPod touch. After the initial setup on a Mac or PC, your mobile device can directly tune in to live TV.
You can watch and timeshift live digital television, record shows directly to your iPad, iPhone or iPod touch, view up to seven days of program guide (EPG) data including details and much more!

TV streaming is not supported outside the local network. 802.11n Wi-Fi is recommended.
Built-in intelligence
As an intelligent device, EyeTV Netstream DTT offers centralised configuration via web browser. Tune the Netstream once, and it stores channel list and serves it out to any computer on the network. The auto-discovery feature (via UPnP & Bonjour) simplifies set-up.

EyeTV Netstream DTT delivers crystal-clear reception and uncompromising quality. In areas in which HDTV is broadcast via DVB-T, experience stunning 720p or 1080i HDTV (MPEG-2 as well as H.264/AVC).
EyeTV Netstream DTT has one quality setting, Lossless. The DVB stream is recorded unaltered to give you the full quality MPEG-2/H.264 file as encoded by the broadcaster. The included EyeTV and THC software supports DVB-T multilingual programming and Dolby® Digital sound.
EyeTV Netstream DTT is intended for use in countries where digital terrestrial television is broadcast. Digital terrestrial television is also known as DVB-T, DTT, Freeview in the UK, and TNT in France. UK residents, please note: Freeview HD or DVB-T2 is not supported.

- DVB-T reception can vary by location, and a rooftop aerial may be required in areas with a weak or obstructed DVB-T signal.

Hooked up to a roof aerial and routed around the house, reception on a variety of desktops and laptops was exceptional, certainly better than streaming content online. Setup, despite initial fears, was simple and intuitive, helped by the user-friendly EyeTV 3 software and handy Assistant... No wires, no fuss and as long as you start with a solid signal, picture perfect reception anywhere.
I find this dual tuner a great way to get digital (Freeview) TV on your Mac. Especially when you have one of the 27 inch iMacs in one room and a MacBook for viewing wherever you are, Elgato’s Netstream tuner is an absolute topper.

We love the Elgato EyeTV Netstream DTT. It's not exactly cheap, but it's enabled us to watch telly in places where we otherwise wouldn't be able to. It is hard not to get over excited about this device. The EyeTV Netstream DTT is set to revolutionise television home entertainment, it seamlessly integrates the full compliment of digital channels (including HD) to every computer on your home network yet is one of the easiest TV devices I have ever set up. Within ten minutes of opening the box your whole family can enjoy TV literally anywhere they have local network access.
It is genuinely hard to fault this device and better still it has just freed up a desperately need USB connection on my Mac.
