The video looked great on the MacBook Air screen, so I can only imagine how awesome it would be on something like a 27" iMac display.

Elgato’s EyeTV HD for iPhone and iPad comes highly recommended to TV fans everywhere. The device is an invaluable piece of hardware that delivers. Video quality is high, on point and provides many conversion options to choose from.
Modern-looking, intuitive EyeTV interface makes TiVo and Comcast look pathetic. Slick integration with iOS devices.
Pros: Sits quietly between your set-top box and computer, happily recording anything you play. Does this one thing really well. IR blaster to change channels.
Cons: None, really.
Bottom line: Finally, an easy way to move premium HD content to a computer or iPad.
One thing missing from Elgato’s line of Mac-based, TV-tuning, DVR-replicating products has been the capability to easily record content from cable or satellite sources, and in HD quality to boot. The EyeTV HD finally fills that void, and in a very nice way.
Add the new EyeTV HD from Elgato to my list of must-have accessories to turn my 27-inch iMac into a true multimedia viewing/creation system.
After one week of using the EyeTV HD, I have come to the conclusion that for Mac users, there is no better way to move content from cable box to computer.
