Elgato Turbo.264 Software Update: Version 1.3

The update includes many new features for YouTube users as well as owners of Apple Devices like video-enabled iPods, the iPhone, or Apple TV. Elgato Turbo.264 now enables YouTube users to convert their videos to a YouTube-friendly format and uploads the encoded clips automatically. Navigating within Turbo.264-encoded movies now becomes easier for users of Apple Devices thanks to Turbo.264's support for DVD chapter markers. The new software also preserves Dolby Digital audio for playback on surround speakers connected to Apple TV. Furthermore, this update to Turbo.264 version 1.3 supports QuickTime broadcaster.

- EyeTV 2.5, a free update to the award-winning EyeTV 2 television software, includes many new features for viewing on the Mac, the iPhone, and iPod touch. With Wi-Fi Access, recorded television shows can be accessed for playback from an iPhone and iPod touch in a local Wi-Fi network.

Many EyeTV users have requested the ability to record content that has been temporarily stored via timeshifting. To create a new recording after watching a live television show for a while, simply navigate to the beginning of the show, and click the record button.

iPhone has arrived in the USA, and will land in Europe starting November 9. EyeTV 2.5 offers a one-click button for easy export of recordings for Apple's mobile telephone as well as iPod touch. In France, EyeTV 2.5 supports IPTV for Freebox.
