iLounge Review

02/07/2008 - A very thorough and informative review of EyeTV 3 is up on the iLounge.com website:

"What’s great about EyeTV is the incredible scope and generally smart, intuitive functionality of the software: what you get here is now officially leagues beyond what TiVo and its many lesser competitors offer in today’s digital video recorders."

EyeTV 3 Upgrade Adds TV Series Subscriptions

It would be tough to pick our favorite new software feature in EyeTV 3, but surely EyeTV 3's Smart Guide ranks near the top.  The Smart Guide enables detailed searches of the Program Guide using multiple criteria; the results update automatically as shows appear in the TV listings. Use the Smart Guide to create subscriptions to an entire season of favorite TV series': Record new episodes, drop them them into Smart Playlists, export them to an iPod or iPhone, and manage the number of episodes stored - all automatically! What's more, Smart Guides take your subscriptions to the next level; subscribe not only to a TV series, but also to movies featuring a favorite actor or director, or sports shows featuring favorite teams, documentaries with particular narrators... the only limitation is imagination and the content in the Program Guide.

But EyeTV 3 offers so much more. Share EyeTV 3 recordings on all the Macs in a local network; access recordings on an iPhone, iPod touch, and selected Smart Phones via Wi-Fi with password protection; navigate with a mouse or a remote with a gorgeous new all-new On Screen menu; save channel lists for different locations and more.

Elgato EyeTV hardware is now sold with EyeTV 3 software. Existing EyeTV 2 customers can upgrade to EyeTV 3 at our online store.
