EyeTV Mobile technical information

System Requirements

  • iPad 2, the new iPad (3rd generation) or iPhone 4S
  • iPad 2: iOS 4.3.5 or later; iPad (3rd generation) and iPhone 4S: iOS 5.1 or later
  • Japan only: iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4th generation for ISDB-T (1-seg) channels

Important: 

  1. EyeTV Mobile works great on iPad 2, the new iPad (3rd generation) and iPhone 4S. Other devices such as the original iPad (1st generation) and the iPhone 4 are not supported, except in Japan.
  2. EyeTV Mobile app supports program guide data from the DVB-T stream; tvtv guide data is not supported.

 

Where does it work?

EyeTV Mobile has been confirmed to work in Australia, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and the United Kingdom, as well as any country that broadcasts standard definition MPEG-2 video. Support for MPEG-4/H.264 television channels is preliminary. High definition channels, encrypted programs and/or DVB-T2 broadcasts are not supported.
