EyeTV Netstream support
Connect EyeTV for iPhone directly to an EyeTV Netstream tuner to watch live TV on your iPad! Enjoy superfast channel surfing. This feature requires an iPad, iPhone 4, or iPod touch 4th generation running iOS4 (requires iOS4.2), and a local 802.11n Wi-Fi network. You need a Mac or PC to install EyeTV Netstream, but you don’t need to keep your computer turned on to watch live TV.
Note: Direct connection to an EyeTV Netstream tuner is available only for MPEG-2 standard definition television signals, and is not supported outside the local Wi-Fi network.
Simplified Set-Up with My EyeTV
On your local Wi-Fi network no configuration is needed, just enable access from EyeTV for iPhone/iPad in EyeTV’s Preferences window. Fully automatic configuration isn’t always possible outside of your local network, please see www.elgato.com/iphonehelp for details. EyeTV uses port 2170.
If you are using the Mac OS X firewall, be sure to allow connections from both EyeTV and EyeConnect. If that doesn’t allow you to connect, try disabling the firewall temporarily.
Try before you buy: Free Web app
Live3G is a stripped-down version of the EyeTV app which enables you to stream live television over a 3G connection to an iPhone and iPad. Elgato’s Live3G web app runs in the Safari browser on your iPhone so you can watch live TV and EyeTV recordings anywhere. It’s free, and it’s a good way to test your router’s compatibility before buying the EyeTV app.

Better Live Streaming with Turbo.264 HD

In the “About” section of the mobile app Elgato have inserted the slogan “Turn your Mac into the coolest television in the house.” Well with EyeTV app you can now add the iPhone to that sentence, I love it.
The look and feel of the iPhone app is first-rate, with white text on a black background, and with subtle color queues throughout. It's a joy to use... I'm delighted with the possibilities here. If I'm traveling, my iPhone will provide full access to my TV-on-Mac setup at home.
