EyeTV 3 updated with new iPad features
If you’ve got an iPad, we think you’ll love the new features of EyeTV 3.4, which is now available for download. We’ve added the ability to export to an iPad-optimized format, and to stream full-screen live TV to your iPad (with the optional EyeTV iPhone app).
Optimized Export to iPad Format
The iPad is the ultimate portable video playback device, especially for EyeTV users. You can now automatically export your scheduled EyeTV recordings to iPad format, or convert existing recordings with a click of the configurable button in the toolbar.
You can change the behavior of these buttons in EyeTV Preferences:
Ideal format for beautiful results
EyeTV takes advantage of the iPad’s ability to play back video up to 720P HD, creating the ideal format for beautiful results. As always, converted recordings are automatically added to your iTunes library for syncing, and now include elegant cover art and descriptions (and of course, if you have a Turbo.264 HD, the exports are extra speedy)!
EyeTV 3.4 also extends its built-in streaming capabilities to support the new capabilities of the soon-to-be-released EyeTV iPhone/iPad app ($4.99 at the iTunes App Store; free update if you already own the EyeTV iPhone app). The updated app features full-screen playback of live and recorded TV, and a new control layout optimized for the larger iPad screen.
With EyeTV 3.4 and the amazing iPad, you’ve really got the ultimate combo for enjoying TV when, where and how you want it!
